E-learning is an educational and pedagogic tool which - by overcoming the need of the physical presence of trainer and trainee in the same place - constitutes a fruitful way to transfer technical know-how worldwide. Unlike the traditional face-to-face classroom teaching, E-learning enables to reach a greater number of trainees, who interact with the teachers through IT platforms. Because of its features of versatility and availability, E-learning has become a very valid, widely used pedagogic tool, which nevertheless loses its effectiveness unless the participation by the trainees is responsible and self-disciplined.
