EXACT Meeting - Middle East Multilateral Working Group
On december 2007 (Rome, 10th-12th) HYDROAID has been invited to take part to the annual meeting of EXACT. Dr R. Monti was attending the meeting and together with LANDAU NETWORK-Centro Volta, fostered an encounter between the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the MEMWG partners. Amongst the multi-lateral peace processes in the Middle East, the most important related to water is certainly the Jordan- Israel - Palestinian Authority process. The Middle East Multilateral Working Group (MEMWG), which is part of the Middle East Peace Process, has worked uninterruptedly since 1992. MEMWG is managed by an executive team, the so-called EXACT (the Executive Action Team - chaired by the United States) composed by government representatives of Jordan, Israel and Palestinian Authority.
