Prof. Pierluigi Claps

Full Professor of Water Engineering at the Politecnico di Torino. Ph.D. in Hydraulic Engineering (1990) at the Università di Napoli. Member of the Scientific Committee of the Italian CNR-GNDCI group. His expertise is in the area of Hydrology of River Basins, particularly in relation to floods and water resources assessment and to stochastic streamflow modeling, with more than 70 papers published. He leads research teams working on projects concerning "Runoff production in mountainous river basins" and "Prediction in Ungauged Basins" (MIUR-PRIN 2005).
