Lecturer on Soil Science at the University of Sassari; co-author of more then hundred scientific papers and articles published on national and international journals.
He developed a wide working experience both in Italy and abroad in the field of soil science and the management of water resources.
He was recently awarded a degree of Soil Science honoris causa from the Academy of Science of Bulgaria.
He had been for three years the Extraordinary Commissioner of the Ente Autonomo del Flumendosa.
Presently he is the Chairman of the Ente Acque della Sardegna (Sardinia Water Management Company).
