Prof. Sebastiano Sordo
DIRECTOR of HYDROAID
for Politytechnic of Turin
Born in Mondovì on 11/03/1943, Sebastiano Teresio Sordo lives in Mondovì in Via S.Agostino n.15; he made his university studies at the Politecnico of Torino where he took both the master degree in Civil Hydraulic Engineering and the master degree in Architecture.
After taking the degree in Engineering he mainly worked as researcher
and university teacher in the Faculty of Engineering of the Politecnico
of Torino and of the University of Reggio Calabria.
Now he works as:
- full professor of Hydraulics at the Politecnico of Torino, where he teaches “Fluid Mechanics” to the students of Mechanical Engineering; he also teaches “Hydraulics” to the students of Civil Engineering for Waters Management.
- responsible for the base of the Politecnico of Torino in Mondovì from the beginning of the October 1990.
- coordinator of the First Faculty of Engineering in Mondovì – Course in Civil Engineering for Waters Management and Course in Mechanical Engineering – since the academic year 2001/2002.
- oordinator of the Master in Agricultural and Food Engineering since the academic year 2005/2006.
He wrote about fifty publications concerning hydrology, hdraulics and fluid mechanics; he won the Premio Acqua Ambiente 2002 organized by the cooperation between the Azienda Consortile for the Aqueduct of the Langhe and Alpi Cuneesi and the Provincia of Cuneo.
